"The resources I use the most are the small group guided lessons. The teacher sheet keeps me on track for teaching a focused, targeted lesson, and the accompanying activities are great to use in my centers. The fact that this is already planned out for me saves me so much time!"Â
- Leslie C.
"I love the phonics activities! These are used to supplement my district driven phonics program. They help ensure my students really master the phonemes they are learning."
- Natalie E.
"Intervention Central and the Small Group & Centers Toolkit both have amazing resources that help me provide the best help and support for my struggling readers. I am able to meet them at their exact level and give them what they need to help them improve and grow."
- Nicole B.
Do you…
Leave school exhausted after a 10+ hour day, your to-do list still unfinished?
Worry that you're not doing enough for your students, and wish you had more time and resources to differentiate?
Have guilty thoughts about not spending enough time with your family, much less getting time for yourself?
Feel like it's completely impossible to be a great teacher and still have a LIFE?
I know. It STINKS to feel this way.
But it does NOT mean you're a bad teacher, or that you're doing something wrong.
In fact, I bet you’re a really dedicated teacher.
You want your students to score well on their assessments.
You want to follow the Science of Reading - and keep your lessons fun!
But the amount of time it takes to pull all this off has got you feeling stressed, overwhelmed...
And maybe even questioning if this is REALLY the job you were meant to do.
How do I know this?
Because I’ve been there...
I’ve spent too many nights lying awake, unable to turn my brain off because I have SO many things to do at school the next day.
And I’ve felt like I was failing my students. Even though I was arriving early and leaving late, I was just doing the bare minimum to get by each day.
I knew that something had to give.
But before things got better, they got worse. I started my master's program and was completely drowning in work and grad school assignments.
With the addition of grad school, I just didn't have the option of spending tons of extra hours prepping for each school day. I was fully maxed out and barely keeping my head above water.
Determined to find a better way, I spent my winter break creating systems and templates. Armed with my new strategies, I nervously headed back to school.
When it came time to plan next week's lessons, I was shocked at how fast my literacy block came together! And it wasn't a fluke. Every single week, I used my new system for planning small groups and centers - and saved myself hours.
For the first time, I felt like I was thriving as a teacher - not just barely surviving. What a relief!
I knew other teachers could benefit from what I'd created. So I founded Learning At The Primary Pond to help more teachers get their work-life balance back!
Right now, stress and overwhelm may be your reality - just like they used to be for me. But they do NOT have to be your future - there's a better way!

You deserve this. Your students deserve this.

Meet Alison
Alison Ryan, M.Ed, has been working in schools since 2005 as a classroom teacher, reading interventionist, reading specialist, and Director of Curriculum & Instruction. She has a master’s degree in literacy leadership, is trained in the Orton Gillingham method, and is CERI certified in Structured Literacy (C-SLCT). Most importantly, she knows exactly what it's like to be a K-2 teacher - the joys and the stresses!
Who is this perfect for?
A club membership is ideal for any teacher who wants to save time AND deliver outstanding reading and writing instruction.
It’s for new teachers AND veteran teachers. (Whether you’re new to the profession or have tons of experience, everyone needs fresh ideas and support!)
Who is this not perfect for?
A club membership is not recommended for teachers of grades other than K, 1st, & 2nd.
This may not be a good fit for you if you need teaching materials in Spanish, Australian English, or another language. All materials will be provided in U.S. English, and some will not be editable.
